Guidon Design is founded on sustainability.
As leaders in Sustainability, we focus on designing solutions that reduce operating costs and energy use, are cost effective, easily implemented, and technically sound. Our staff consults on projects ranging from high-profile governmental buildings, urban infill historic restorations, city/campus planning, and energy upgrades. We have successfully lead teams through LEED, Green Globes, and Envision certification as well as eco-charrettes. Our staff’s leadership in sustainability is demonstrated through our ability to educate others. Guidon Design’s LEED professionals, designers, and architects are regularly asked to teach sustainability related courses nationwide.
Our services include Green Infrastructure, sustainability audits, LEED consulting and documentation, renewable energy assessments, carbon footprint analysis. Through our services, we work with project teams to make decisions and find design solutions that reduce operating costs, conserve resources and improve the experience of the users. Guidon Design has provided these services to a wide range of clients, including the City of Indianapolis, the US Army Corps of Engineers, Citizens Energy Group, Purdue University, Ball State University, the Dept. of Veterans Affairs, and a number of private clients.
The IndyGo Downtown Transit Center highlights a LID design approach. This high-profile public center will be located on the south side of Washington Street between Delaware and Alabama streets in the heart of downtown Indianapolis. The transit center is slated for a minimum of LEED Silver certification. Guidon Design is providing LEED consultation and civil engineering for the 14,000-square foot building.
