Guidon Design Inc. led a complete campus master planning and programming effort at the Chalmers P. Wylie VA Ambulatory Care Center (VAACC) through. The initial effort involved the update of the overall VAACC master plan for short- (5-year) and mid-term (10-year) future develop based on the current outpatient ambulatory care mission. To address long-term (20-year) needs the Guidon Design team programmed a new 82-bed inpatient tower to support the addition of inpatient services to the campus.
The Guidon team led a series of planning charrettes and end-user meetings to collaboratively develop concepts for future ambulatory care expansion and a new inpatient tower. Plans were developed to expand the campus to improve the vehicle and pedestrian circulation, while adding structured parking and improving access to green space and storm water drainage.
