Guidon Design’s healthcare architects recently presented on Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) at the Midwest Healthcare Engineering Conference. Our team included Kari Allen, AIA, LEED AP who has a focus on the design of healthcare spaces emphasizing renovations in existing hospital settings.
The presentation educated attendees on how to specify ICRA controls, perimeters and systems for bidding that aligns with ICRA requirements and a facility’s infection control standards. Our experts showed how to identify and problem-solve design and construction concerns that may cause infection control issues during construction, before the issues arise in the field. Attendees included a diverse range of designers, hospital administrators and hospital maintenance staff.
The conference was held on October 26-28, 2015 in Indianapolis, Indiana, and is an annual event focused on providing healthcare professionals the latest technology trends from industry experts, introducing new tips and insights from healthcare professionals.
