Full Time Staff Accountant

Reports to:

Sr. Accountant/Director of Finance

Primary Purpose:

Working with the accounting department to ensure proper record keeping and quality assurance of accounting processes.

Evaluation Metrics:

Supports the team and shows ownership of projects/tasks
Continues developing their technical skills and learns from past projects


Bachelor’s Degree in accounting from an accredited University
2+ years of experience in the accounting profession
Proactive and assertive in problem solving
Experience managing parallel assignments
Good written, oral communications, staff management and client relationship skills
Comfortable in making group presentations
Trustworthy with confidential personnel/company information
Detail oriented

Skills / Qualities:

Understanding of accounts receivable and accounts payable processes
Knowledge of reviewing employee expense reports
Ability to assist in month end close processes
Detailed recording of cash transactions
Working knowledge of accounting software
Utilizing interpersonal communication skills (client/vendor facing coordination)
Flexibility for tasks as assigned


  • Collecting, entering, and processing of accounts receivable and accounts payable duties
  • Reviewing employee expense report for accuracy and timeliness
  • Completing tasks associated with the month end close process (journal entries, revenue recognition, projections, etc.)
  • Following up with clients on outstanding accounts receivable
  • Processing accounts payable check runs with the assistance of a Sr. Accountant

Professional Development, Technical Education & Training:

  • Establish annual education and training plans and goals for self. Work with staff development manager to implement and track performance
  • Work with department to assign and track quarterly goals
  • Maintain a positive learning atmosphere
  • Meet or exceed professional standards of work
  • Actively pursue personal continuing education

  • Maintain a technical expertise in your profession and area of work
  • Remain current with new products and tools that will assist you in better meeting our company needs
